The rural location of this ryokan gives it a nice secluded feel, surrounded by farmland and offering total privacy in its little villa, style rooms. the private outdoor rotenburo is definitely the highlight of the stay, fed by both hot and cold taps so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. the kaiseki, dinner and breakfast were high, quality, providing a delicious taste of traditional Japanese cuisine. the clean public baths were also a nice addition, with large bathing areas, indoor bath and sauna, and two levels of outdoor baths.
One aspect of this ryokan fell short for me. Despite its advertised western aesthetic, the English farmhouse and scattered western furniture didn't seem like much of a departure from traditional ryokan decor, leaving me a bit disappointed.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The private onsen was perfect - directly out the back door in its own little garden. The meals were delicious and staff were friendly and attentive. The location was serene and peaceful.

The hotel was located in a remote area, which added to its charm. It was surrounded by beautiful countryside and offered a serene atmosphere. the staff was polite and accommodating. the room was spacious and comfortable. the best aspects were the private outdoor hot spring and the delicious traditional dinner.
There was a lack of Christmas ambiance. the hotel did not offer any festive activities or decorations.

The food was good and there were many different plates to try. It was nice to have a private outdoor bath to relax in. , the location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for those who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The room was small and didn't have much furniture. It was also quite difficult to find the hotel.
